“Our healthcare system is undergoing major transformations.
Climate change, the accelerated aging of the population, the surge in chronic diseases, and budgetary constraints are converging, with rapid and profound changes upon us.
Innovation—whether technological, technical, or organizational—is our response to these challenges. From digital technology to artificial intelligence, as well as the evolution of care delivery, professions, and skills, we are already engaged in this transformative process.
However, these transformations must never cause us to lose sight of the essentials: the core values that define our system. Universality, accessibility, and transparency are more than just principles; they are fundamental benchmarks that must continue to guide all our actions and solution-seeking efforts.
