CERDECAM was created in 1982 to promote research, particularly technological research, by collaborating on R&D projects with industrial companies and by advising or assisting individuals, private companies, or public bodies that call on its services in the fields of research, development, or training.
CERDECAM’s activities are linked to the training courses offered by ECAM: industrial engineers in electromechanics, automation, electronics, IT, construction, surveying, and sanitary engineering.

One of CERDECAM’s missions is to provide technological services to businesses. CERDECAM is approved for the Chèques Innovations (Brussels) & Chèques Entreprises (Wallonia) schemes, which provide up to 75% funding for technological services.
In this context, the expertise of CERDECAM researchers and ECAM teachers is mobilized to analyze the various technical problems faced by companies and propose possible solutions. In addition, ECAM’s equipment allows theoretical models to be put into practice.
