Created in 2010 in tribute to a global pioneer in therapeutic endoscopy and head of the gastroenterology department at Erasme Hospital for 22 years, the Michel Cremer Foundation’s mission is to promote cutting-edge research in endoscopy in a disinterested manner and in a spirit of philosophical and political neutrality.
It is chaired by Professor Jacques Devière, head of the Gastroenterology Department at Erasme Hospital.
The Foundation’s ambition is not only to contribute to expanding the possibilities of this minimally invasive medicine for the well-being of patients, but also to share the results of this research and make it available to as many people as possible.
In order to develop, this approach requires very close collaboration between several scientific fields, particularly between doctors and engineers, for the research and development of innovative medical devices adapted to endoscopy.
