The 2023 MedTech Accelerator started on the 20th of April.
Since the previous Expert Committee held on the 25th of May, the startups continued their progress through workshops and coaching.
Today they had again the opportunity to showcase their progress in front of a jury made of top-notch experts :
- Philip Vergauwen, Pedagogic director of the Advanced Master in Biotech and Medtech at the Solvay Brussels School.
- Katrien Van Gucht, Program Manager at Johnson & Johnson
- Benoît Herman, Head of the CREDEM Platform at UCLouvain
- Christophe Gau, « serial entrepreneur », Authorized reseller at Quartz Pharma® Software
The Expert Committee had the task to assess the following critical topics:
1. Value Proposition: the uniqueness, the alignment with customer needs, and the potential for market differentiation.
2. Regulatory Compliance: the adherence and the roadmap regarding the legal standards for the health tech industry.
3. Market Analysis: the target identification, the competitive landscape assessment, and the positioning.
4. Income Strategy: the pricing model, the revenue streams, and the monetization plans to ensure long-term sustainability.
5. Governance: the current and future Team and Board composition, ensuring leadership and decision-making capabilities.
The involvement of an Expert Committee is vital for startups as it enhances their credibility, provides objective feedback and guidance, grants access to valuable knowledge and networks, and accelerates their growth and market readiness.
With this guidance and expertise, we aim to propel the growth and success of our startups in the health tech industry.
